Bookings
Melbourne University Alpine Lodge is dorm room style accommodation and bookings may be split across multiple rooms.
Please note prior to booking that:
- Booking is only confirmed upon full payment
- Check in anytime after 2pm
- Check out by 10am (bag storage available)
- Friday and Saturday nights must be booked together as a 2 night booking
- As a shared facility, bookings are per bed
Groups of 20 or more people are eligible for a 10% discount.
The Lodge
Within walking distance to Mt. Buller Village and located only metres from the Blue Bullet quad chair and Chamois lift, the Lodge provides the perfect place to stay on the mountain.
Clean, modern share-style accommodation with family rooms available, each room has two bunk beds with an upper and lower bed (total four (4) beds).

Guests must take their own linen (sleeping bags/doona/blankets, sheets, pillowslip & towel), food, beverages, toiletries & hair dryers. Pillows are supplied. A limited supply of linen is available for hire including: pillow slip ($1), sheets ($4), blanket ($4), towel ($4), or a full set for $10 per person, per booking.
It is a good idea to bring a padlock or 2 to lock any valuables in the cupboards in the rooms or your skis in the ski/snowboard room. These can also be purchased from the managers for $10 each.

Full payment must accompany all bookings. Accepted methods: Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard) and EFT.
No refund is permitted unless there is a medical reason; requests are to be made in writing with medical certificate provided. An administration fee may apply for all refunds.

Mt Buller
An easy three-hour drive from Melbourne, the Alpine Lodge is located across the road from Mt Buller Village, our Alpine Lodge is the closest accommodation to the Village itself and located directly behind the Kooroora Hotel.

There is no parking at the MU Sport Lodge or in Mt Buller Village. All parking is located in the general car park, after paying resort entry fee.
To get to the Lodge, a free shuttle bus is available from the carpark. Please note that the shuttle bus only allows a daypack and skis/snowboard.
For those with luggage, taxis are available to take you and your items up to the Lodge.

For information on mountain ski hire, great eats and what's on, please feel free to consult the Lodge supervisor who will happily assist with any information. You will also be provided with a current Information Sheet when you make a booking.

The Melbourne University Ski Club (MUSKI) have their own hire facilities at the University of Melbourne Parkville campus.
Melbourne University Sport does not handle any ski hire bookings or enquiries. If you would like to enquire about ski hire, contact the MUSKI directly via the links
