The University Sport Board recently appointed two new student members Miranda Clark (Juris Doctor) and Mitchell Stephen (Grad Dip. Bushfire Planning and Management). Both students were chosen in a competitive application process open to all current students due to their strong leadership in their sport and recreation activities and their representation of students’ sporting interests at the University.
Miranda was a former Netball club member and is extensively involved in University Tennis as Co-President of the club and as the team manager and a student-athlete at the Australian University Games. As a student board member, her interests will be focused on governance and strategic planning for sport at the University. Mitchell has been involved with the University Mountaineering Club for seven years, including two years as President. He plans to focus his board involvement with the direction and strategy of sport and recreation for students at the University.
