Users of the Beaurepaire Centre gym will have noticed a change to the layout of the downstairs section, with new equipment installed in late February.
MU Sport has invested over $100,000 in replacing and upgrading the pin-loaded strength machines with new Hoist Strength equipment. The new equipment and layout provides an additional 10 stations for members, and replicates equipment in the upstairs gym area, allowing members more options to complete their workouts across the full facility.
If you would like any assistance with the new equipment please see a Fitness Instructor on duty or book in for a free Training program upgrade. We also recommend checking out the Hoist Fitness App for video demos of all equipment.
“We aim to help our members reach their fitness goals. To do that we provide the highest quality equipment for our gyms”, said Craig Bamford, Aquatics and Fitness Coordinator. “MU Sport is committed to upgrading all gym equipment cyclically as part of the Fitness Equipment Capital Improvement plan”.
The upgrades have been welcomed by members of the MU Sport community such as Yujin Lim of Optimal Health Exercise Physiology (a personal training contractor at MU Sport):
"Over the years, we have seen MU Sport constantly improve both the quality and type of equipment available. The most recent Hoist equipment upgrade has opened up more training options for members regardless of whether they are beginners who have never trained before, or are experienced gym-goers needing extra variety and stimulus in their programs. Having had experience across numerous training facilities, it is rare that a gym will continually invest so heavily into the member experience."
MU Sport is always looking for areas to improve our customer experience, so if you have ideas on how your workout visits could be improved, consider sending us your feedback today.
