Gridiron Club | Melbourne University Sport

Melbourne University Gridiron Club, known at the Royals, were established in 2011 and compete in Gridiron Victoria competitions.

The Royals have teams in the Men’s, Women’s and Colts (Under 19’s competitions). The club consists of a combination of international experienced players, local players and those playing for the first time. Our coaches have a long history within the sport and had success internationally (in the USA and Canada) and locally.

Membership

How does it work?

Our senior men's team competes in Division 1 after being the Division 2 champions in 2012 and Division 2 runner-up in 2013.

Our women's team, have competed for four seasons and were runner-up in the 2016 Women's VicBowl

Our Colts team (U19) were winners of 2014, 2015, 2018, and 2019 Colts VicBowls.

Gridiron is a sport that no matter what size, shape or fitness level you are there is always a position on the field for you.
