How does it work?
Propulsion Swim Academy is part of the Swim Academy Network and provides lessons for adults and juniors, catering to school-aged and adult swimmers of all abilities. With a team of Austswim qualified teachers and Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association (ASCTA) accredited coaches, they are passionate about helping swimmers achieve their potential in the water and have a number of programs to help you achieve your aquatic goals, including:

- School Aged Learn-To-Swim Program
Our school-aged learn-to-swim and water safety program incorporates drills and techniques often only used at squad level to ensure swimmers develop sound habits early in their stroke development. All learn-to-swim lessons are 30 minutes with a maximum of 4 students in our lower levels. Propulsion Swim Academy , in partnership with Melbourne University Propulsion Swimming Club, offers an annual swimming carnival to give all swimmers the opportunity to compete in a fun and encouraging environment.
- Squad Program
The Propulsion Aquatic Squad Program offers a variety of squad levels to suit varying levels of commitment and ability. In partnership with Melbourne University Propulsion Swimming Club and Melbourne University Sport our squad program offers:
- Transition Squads to assist swimmers move from a learn-to-swim to a squad environment
- Junior Squads for talented young swimmers
- Performance Squads for State, National and International level competitors
- Uni Squads for students looking for a fun way to get fit in the water.
- Adult Program
Propulsion Swim Academy caters for beginners, intermediate and advanced swimmers. Whether you are training for world masters games, open water swimming or hoping to complete your first lap, our fully qualified teachers and coaches can assist you to achieve your swimming goals. We offer both private and group lessons. These lessons run during school terms only.
- Private lessons
Propulsion Swim Academy can also provide private lessons to both adults and children who will benefit from one-on-one coaching or teaching.

Competitive swimming opportunities are available in a range of Club, Interclub, State and National competitions, provided the required times are achieved to qualify for specific events.
The Club currently has swimmers training and competing at National and State level.
