Additional activities set to return this Friday
In accordance with the Victorian Government announcement of the further easing of restrictions, the following changes to our operations will occur from tomorrow Friday 18 June:
The Beaurepaire Centre (gym and pool), Lincoln Square Fitness (gym) and Southbank Fitness (gym) will reopen with opening hours returning to normal.
Direct debit and term members will have free access to the gym, pool and group fitness, a further update will follow to members next week. Casual pricing will be applied otherwise.
The Nona Lee Sports Centre will reopen for group fitness, club activities, tennis, squash and badminton with reception now staffed. Operating hours have reverted to off-peak hours as would normally apply at this time of year. Court hire and group fitness bookings need to be made over the phone or via reception.
Some community club competitions will resume this weekend but no spectators are permitted to attend. The Boathouse and Berkeley Street will also reopen for club activities.
All buildings will have a capacity limit of 50. Please note that patrons will be required to queue and wait for another patron to leave the building before entering when capacity has been reached.
Please note that face coverings remain mandatory indoors unless an exemption applies, and outdoors where 1.5 metres physical distancing cannot be maintained.

In accordance with the Victorian Government announcement this week some outdoor activities will return to campus from today. The outdoor facilities in the Sports Precinct (except the tennis courts) are now open and available for casual use when not being used for approved club activities. Please note that face coverings remain mandatory indoors and outdoors. Elite Akademy physiotherapy, tennis coaching and the bike shop will all be operating next week. The indoor facilities including the Beaurepaire Centre and the Nona Lee Sports Centre remain closed until further notice.

The state government announced on Wednesday an extension to the previous lockdown.
As MU Sport facilities will remain closed until further notice.

In line with the announcement by the State Government today, the following will occur from midnight Thursday 27 May until further notice:
The Beaurepaire Centre (gym and pool), the Nona Lee Sports Centre, Lincoln Square Fitness, Southbank Fitness, the Ernie Cropley Pavilion, Boat House, and Sports Precinct Tennis Courts will close.
Club training, matches and other club face-to-face activities will be suspended.
MU Sport offices will close. Staff will continue to be working remotely during the lockdown and will be available to respond to any queries.
All fitness memberships have been automatically suspended, with no payments to be taken until we reopen.
We will endeavour to keep you updated on our plans for recommencing services from early next week, with updates via sport.unimelb.edu.au, social media and email.
Please remember to exercise, get outside in the fresh air and take care of yourself, your family and friends (don’t forget physical distancing and a mask).
