The Melbourne University Sports Precinct was alive on Monday night! Student-athletes from Melbourne and Monash University competed in the Big Blue Home Leg event, featuring Men's Hockey, Men and Women's Volleyball, Women's tennis and Mixed Ultimate Frisbee.
It was an exciting atmosphere, especially on the Hockey Pitch where they finished regular time in a draw. A shoot out resulted in Melbourne taking the win, 5-3.
Ultimate Frisbee didn't disappoint, Melbourne winning in dominant fashion, 14-7.
The Women's tennis matches brought a crowd, with two singles games and one doubles, Monash proved too strong in this one, going 2-1.
It was a mixed bag for the Melbourne Volleyball teams, the Men took a 2-0 win, whereas the Women fell to Monash 2-0.
Down on the squash courts, it was all Melbourne, the team with a clean sweep 4-0.
This concludes Big Blue for Semester One, the action continues with Table Tennis and Badminton in Semester Two.
