Sports Centre to receive facelift in November

Renovation works will be taking place in November to upgrade the reception area at the Nona Lee Sports Centre. The works include installing a new Customer Service desk and improvements to storage spaces at reception to improve the customer experience for users.

“This project will deliver a more inclusive, welcoming and functional environment for users of the space”, said Facility Operations Manager Ken Barton. “We look forward to having students and members enjoy the space”

The project also includes works to improve disability accessibility in the Sports Centre to ensure parity for all users. Handrails, stair nosing and tactile flooring will be installed in several areas in the building.

The works are scheduled to begin on Friday 18 November. Activities within the Sports Centre will continue to operate with minimal disruption. Staff will be onsite to assist with enquiries during the project.
