MU Sport joins with the Cricket Club to mourn the passing of Bob Cowper OAM.
The Commerce alumni played for the Cricket Club between 1959 - 1962 and went on to represent Australia in 27 test matches. Cowper was best known for scoring the first triple century in Australia in 1966 at the MCG, which remains the highest score at the venue to this day.
Following his sporting career, Cowper had a successful career in finance and also served as Australia's representative to the International Cricket Council from 1987 - 2001.
