Alice's story
Doctor of Medicine graduate Dr Alice McNamara will be travelling with the Australian Women’s Basketball Team as the Team Doctor of the Opals. Alice has herself been a sportsperson – a former World and National Champion in lightweight rowing. She represented Australia at the World Rowing Championships nine times, winning two titles in 2007 and 2008. Alice has also rowed the Melbourne University Boat Club.
As a sports physician, Alice has worked with multiple teams across disciplines, including basketball, rowing, swimming and Australian Football.
