Kyle's story
Science graduate Kyle Swan will be joining Jemima Montag and Rebecca Henderson in Australia’s 20km Race Walk contingent. This will be Kyle’s second Olympics appearance after the debut at Tokyo, where he finished in the 36th position with a timing of 1:27.55.
Since then, Kyle has constantly improved his timing. He recorded his Personal Best in the 20km Race Walk –1:18:59 – at the Chinese Race Walking Grand Prix in March this year. He has also represented Australia at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games and the World Race Walking Team Championships in 2022.
Kyle had an impressive junior career for Australia. Some of the highlights include a sixth-place finish at the 2018 World U20 Championships and a bronze medal win with the Australian team at the World Race Walking Cup in China the same year.
