Sarah's story
Sarah started at the University back in 2005, initially studying a Bachelor of Science before moving to Veterinary Science where she graduated with Honours in 2010. Between 2010 and 2020, Sarah has been a Veterinarian in Tasmania and New South Wales alongside her rowing career. Hawe returned to the University in 2020, completing a Grad Cert of Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care in June 2021.
Shortly after completing the Grad Cert, Sarah represented Australia at the Tokyo Olympics in the Women's Eight, finishing fifth in the Final.
She returned to Paris for the same event, joined in the crew by current student-athlete Hayley Verbunt and MUBC member Lucy Stephan, and went one better – finishing fourth.
