Each athlete will have to cover the cost of travel, accommodation and registration for the event.
To represent the University of Melbourne, you will need to complete two application forms.
Step One: Register via the Wollongong Triathlon website.
Wollongong Trathlon Registration
Make sure you check the 2025 UniSport Nationals Triathlon box when registering and enter your university name and student number to ensure your results count. Keep note of your registration ID!
Step Two: Register via the Uni Sport website
Head to the UniSport website and register your attendance to make sure your results count towards your university's point score!
If you are not an AusTriathlon Member you will need to purchase a one day licence for the event. You also will need to pay for your registration fees, and choose which event you would like to participate in, Olympic or Sprint distance. Costs are shown below.

Sport Access Scholarship
Melbourne University Sport proudly offers students facing financial hardship with a subsidy towards Intervarsity representation. The list of benfits for this scholarship also includes the following,
Scholarship benefits include:
- Unlimited use of the Strength & Fitness Gym (subject to maximum numbers)
- A free introductory session with a trainer in our Strength and Fitness Gym and one complimentary training program per month (subject to availability)
- Unlimited access to Group Fitness classes (subject to maximum class numbers)
- Unlimited access to the Beaurepaire 25-metre heated lap pool (subject to maximum numbers)
- Access to Member rates for all other MU Sport services and facilities, such as court hire and accommodation at the Melbourne University Ski Lodge
- Access to casual lockers during your workout
- Up to $300 subsidy towards an MU Sport Club Membership OR Intervarsity representation
- $50 per semester towards entry into a Campus Sport competition
- Free Court Hire (1-hour free court hire per week – subject to court availability)
Selection criteria
Eligible candidates are selected based on the quality of their personal statement and level of financial need.
Students who received a Sport Access Scholarship in 2024 are eligible to apply for the same scholarship in 2025.
Conditions
This scholarship is conditional on maintaining an academic status of good standing.
Application
We have Two rounds for applications per year.
Round 1:
Open: 28th January 2025
Closes: 9th March 2025.
Recipients will be notified by 14th April 2025.
Round 2:
Opens: May 1st 2025
Closes: 9th Aug 2025
Recipients will be notified by 26th August 2025.
How to apply
You must submit a complete and submit an online Sport Access Scholarship Application Form and an online Student Financial Need Assessment by the closing date.
Only applications that complete both forms will be considered.
