Group Fitness

Work out to great music at one of our varied and fun Group Fitness classes. All of our classes are taught by fully qualified professional instructors, and are suitable for males and females. No matter what your body type, fitness or coordination level, MU Sport's Group Fitness program has a class that is right for you. See below to download a list of our classes and class descriptions.

HOT WEATHER POLICY:
If the forecast maximum temperature exceeds 35 degrees, some Group Fitness classes may be cancelled for health and safety reasons. Contact the Sports Centre reception on 8344 5405 after 9:00am to confirm what classes are running on hot days.

COMING SOON - NEW BIKES AND CYCLING PROGRAM

New Group Fitness Cycling programs RPM™ and Sprint™ launch on Monday 3 April with BODY BIKE SMART®+ bikes. 

These classes from Les Mills will use the new BODY BIKE SMART®+ bikes. The bikes set new standards for indoor cycling with state-of-the-art technology and design, with the BODY BIKE® app allowing users to track and record progress from each class.

Try out the new RPM™ and Sprint™ launch classes with master trainers (running Monday 3 to Friday 7 April) by booking at the Nona Lee Sports Centre reception. These launch classes are FREE for University of Melbourne (UoM) students.

Due to the launch of the new classes, the Cycling Studio will be closed from Friday 24 March until Monday 3 April when the new classes commence.


BODY BIKE SMART®+ 
BODY BIKE SMART®+ sets new standards for indoor cycles. It combines state-of-the-art technology with functional design providing both the cyclist, the service team and MU Sport with a superior indoor bike.

BODY BIKE SMART®+ is equipped with a generator ensuring a battery-free, eco-friendly and self-sustaining workout. The power generated by the user allows for data transfer via ANT+ and Bluetooth®, and it supports SMART Charge. Bring a USB cable, plug it in and start pedalling. Download the BODY BIKE® Indoor Cyclling app from Google Play or Appstore to get your data displayed right in front of you.

- Workout history: Keep track of the indoor cycling workouts. Get an overview of all past workouts and track improvement.
- Customization: Choose a favourite colour app
- VO2 max test: Take the VO2 max test to determine FTP or MAP.
