Alpine Lodge

To make a booking, please go to this Booking Portal and complete the following steps:

• Select the Dates you are looking to visit the lodge (check in and check out dates)
• Leave the "Select rooms and guests" sections as the default
• If there is availability for your entered dates, select the number of beds from the drop down menu corresponding to the appropriate Unimelb affiliation and booking type:
  • Unimelb Affiliations:
    • Unimelb Student / MU Sport Fitness Member
    • Unimelb Staff / Alumni
    • Community
  • Booking Types:
    • Midweek (per night bookings, Sunday-Thursday)
    • Friday & Saturday, 2-night stay (must be booked together)
    • Midweek, 5-Night Special (5 nights, Sunday through Thursday)
• If people in the family/group you are booking for have different Unimelb affiliations, select the number of beds from each affiliation type accordingly. Verification of these affiliations is required upon check-in,
• Select Book
• Complete your Details
• Complete Payment

For bookings where dates span multiple Booking Types, separate bookings and transactions must be made (sorry about that!).

Please note prior to booking that:

• Melbourne University Alpine Lodge is dorm room style accommodation and bookings may be split across multiple rooms
• Bookings are only confirmed upon full payment
• Check in anytime from 2pm (arrival bag storage available)
• Check out by 10am (bag storage available)
• Friday and Saturday nights must be booked together as a 2 night booking
• As a shared facility, bookings are per person

Large Group Booking Requests (20 people or more)

For group bookings of 20 people or more, please complete this Large Group Booking Request Form. Please note that this is not a confirmation of booking and this will come via email from the MU Sport Alpine Lodge team.

Groups of 20 or more people are eligible for a 10% discount (see Pricing below).

Within walking distance to Mt. Buller Village and located only metres from the Blue Bullet quad chair and Chamois lift, the Lodge provides the perfect place to stay on the mountain.

Clean, modern share-style accommodation where each room has two bunk beds with an upper and lower bed (total 4 beds per room).

• Temporary post checkout storage
• Lodge supervisor onsite

Guests must take their own linen (sleeping bags/doona/blankets, sheets, pillowslip & towel), food, beverages, toiletries & hair dryers. Pillows are supplied. A limited supply of linen is available for hire on a first-come-first-served basis (can't be booked in advance) including: pillow slip ($2), sheets ($5), blanket ($5), towel ($5), or a full set for $15 per person, per booking.

An easy three-hour drive from Melbourne, the Alpine Lodge is located across the road from Mt Buller Village, our Alpine Lodge is the closest accommodation to the Village itself and located directly behind the Kooroora Hotel.
