Positive COVID-19 case at Basketball Club training

The University has been advised that a person who attended the following location has since tested positive to COVID-19: 

Basketball Club training at Melbourne University Sport, Nona Lee Sports Centre (Building 103), Tin Alley, Saturday 4 December between 11.00am – 1.00pm

The University’s number one priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and the entire University community. The University has been in contact with the person directly to ensure they are well supported while they isolate.

At this stage you do not need to take any other action.

We strongly urge to you monitor for symptoms and get tested if you are unwell – even with the mildest of symptoms – including fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, runny nose, loss or change in sense of taste or smell, or if you start to feel generally unwell.

If you need to get tested, please attend a COVID-19 testing centre for a PCR test. Once you receive your PCR test results, please let the University know by emailing public-health-network@unimelb.edu.au. The Nona Lee Sports Centre will remain open as deep cleaning is done each day.
