John Landy AC, MBE, Governor of Victoria passed away last week at 91 years of age.

Landy studied Agricultural Science at the University and went on to become an icon both on and off the athletics track. He was a world record holder in the 1500m and Mile events and was the first Australian (and second person in history) to run a 4-minute mile.

Following his sporting endeavors, he led an esteemed career in the agricultural sciences, natural history, and conservation fields.
