What is Intervarsity Lacrosse 5s?

  • Representing the University to compete against other Australia or International Universities in Sport

  • You must be an enrolled student studying at the University of Melbourne in 2026.

  • We select the best student-athletes who study at the Univeristy of Melbourne for our Invervarsity teams.

How to get involved

All new and returning students who wish to represent the University are required to sign up for the Intervarsity program each year using the form below. The information you provide will be shared with the team managers of your chosen sport so they can contact you about trials, training sessions, and important details regarding upcoming events.

Opportunities for 2026

Victorian Lacrosse 5s Championship - 11 & 18 May Mixed

The Victorian Lacrosse 5s Championship is a competition that is open to all Universities in Voctoria. It is played over two consecutive mondays, with the final being played on the 18th May 2026.

We are seeking University of Melbourne students who play Lacrosse regularly, including those who are not currently playing for MU Lacrosse Club.
Uni Nationals Lacrosse 5s 27-3rd Oct, Perth, WA.

This week‑long tournament offers an incredible experience, with the team staying together in comfortable university‑provided accommodation for the entire event, with each member contributing to the cost.

The team will comprise of up to 10 players competing in a mixed division. The team will be selected through team‑run trials.

Additional details, including indicative pricing for the whole event, will be shared as soon as they are confirmed.

For many students, representing the University is a defining highlight of their studies.
