All new and returning students who wish to represent the University are required to sign up for the Intervarsity program each year using the form below. The information you provide will be shared with the team managers of your chosen sport so they can contact you about trials, training sessions, and important details regarding upcoming events.

Uni Nationals Distance Running 4-5 July Gold Coast QLD
Broadwater Parklands
Marine Parade, Southport, Gold Coast
In 2026, Distance Running will be held in conjunction with the Gold Coast Marathon (10km, half marathon and marathon events) on the 4-5 July 2026 and will be contested in both men’s and women’s competitions.
Multi-class events also included in the competition.

Due to the popularity of this event Marathon and Half marathon places are now closed.
There are still places for the 10km University race.

Key Information on Registration
Tiers are based on the number of allocations for each race, and once exhausted the next tier of pricing will take effect.
Uniform
All athletes must wear the official Winged Victory Uniform for this event. If you have previously represented the University, it is the same uniform, so you would not need to purchase a new uniform. If you would like to try sizes before you purchase, please see Tony Sephton in the Sport development office, Nona Lee sports center.

Registration
To register for the event you must contact Tony Sephton Performance Coordinator. The IV program is a performance opportunity so minimum projected times will apply. Once you have approval complete the steps below.
