Melbourne University Sport regretfully announces that 2020 Blues and Sport Awards presentation scheduled for November is cancelled. As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, our University teams have been unable to compete in intervarsity competitions this year (with the exception of a small number of games for two sports), and as such, criteria for nominating a Blue to the Blues Advisory Group cannot be met. This will be the first time since World War I that Blues will not be awarded at the University.
With UniSport Australia recently releasing the 2021 Uni Nationals calendar, which will be complimented by the return of the Big Blue against local rivals Monash University and other intervarsity opportunities, MU Sport look forward to students again pulling on the Winged Victory uniform. Nominations for intervarsity Team Managers for 2021 are now open and interested students can contact Sport Performance Coordinator Tom Lutwyche or download the nomination form from the MU Sport intervarsity web page.
