Dr Ian “Doc” McDonald, Doctor of Medicine graduate from the University of Melbourne and founder of the MCC Hockey Section, passed away last week.
"Doc" was recognised as a prolific sportsman during his studies, earning the rare feat of a Full Blue in two different sports, Hockey and Cricket, in 1944 and 1945 respectively.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday 21st February 2019 in the Members Dining Room, MCG, commencing at 11.00am.
All are welcome to pay their respects to Doc and a long life very well lived.
