Melbourne University Sport has significantly upgraded all four of its squash courts over the summer break.
The renovation included the installation of COURTDesigns glass front walls, new tins, new blue line markings, LED lights and floor sanding.
The glass front walls can withstand ball impact without damage or signs of usage, ensuring a high standard of playing experience all year round. The previous plaster front walls required regular maintenance that will no longer be needed.
MU Sport Facilities Manager, Paul Reading, said that the upgrades meant the University's courts are now "amongst the best in the state".
The courts join other premier clubs in recently gaining COURTDesigns glass panels.
The upgrades were carried out by COURTDesigns Australia's Sarah Fitz-Gerald, a former squash professional and five-time World Champion.
As part of the unveiling, the courts will be free to hire from 18 - 24 February 2019. No bookings, just visit reception. Racquet and ball hire costs remain.
