Supporting our elite student-athletes

The University of Melbourne has a long and proud tradition of supporting student-athletes in their sporting and academic pursuits. For more than 150 years, students have combined study and sport as part of the Melbourne Experience.

Recently we captured the experiences of seven student-athletes currently engaged with the University's Elite Athlete Program. The students come from a diverse range of backgrounds, sports and experiences, with all receiving some form of support from the University to help combine their studies and elite sport.
