It’s a blinder of an autumn day, and Geoff Freeman and Graeme Bales are limbering up for their 58th season at their baseball club.
Many of us play sport at university and leave it behind when we graduate. But Freeman and Bales joined the University of Melbourne baseball club as teenagers in 1968. And they just didn’t quit.

Please note that the East Stadium in the Nona Lee Sports Centre will be closed until further notice due to a significant flooring issue. We are liaising with contractors to complete the urgent maintenance works to restore the court for use. Updates will be provided once repairs progress and a reopen date is established. The West Stadium will remain open for use as usual.
